"The goal of early childhood education should be ativate the child's own natural desire to learn." - Dr . Maria Montessori
A central belief of Montessori education is that children have an innate power to develop themselves. This development takes place through each child’s active interaction with their environment. As Montessori educators, our role is to prepare an environment that meets children’s developmental needs, observe them carefully, and connect them with meaningful activities so they can build themselves through their own purposeful work.
This approach gives children the freedom to choose their own activities, rather than follow an adult-imposed timetable, and provides extended time to develop independence, confidence and thinking skills.
Each child is encouraged to grow at their own pace, while staff observe their needs and plan purposeful activities that stimulate, develop and captivate them.
